A Funeral Celebrant will help you to celebrate the life of your loved one, even whilst you mourn their death.

Grief can overwhelm our ability to think coherently. Losing someone close to us is one of the most stressful times we will go through.

Whilst experiencing the pain of loss, you will need to make choices and decisions that you hope would best reflect the wishes of the person who has passed away.

When you are struggling to express your feelings and emotions, it is difficult to reflect on the life of the person you have loved and lost.

I understand this and will guide and support you through this difficult time.

Often planning or even contemplating the funeral ceremony of somebody we have lost can feel like an insurmountable task.

We need to mourn, yet we also need to remember a life, where that person’s astounding, affirming, quirky, generous gifts of living can be shared and remembered.

This is where I come in

When you don’t know what to say, I will help you find the words. Together, we will create a genuine, authentic and sincere tribute filled with respect, gratitude and love.

If you choose not to hold a religious service, your funeral director will recommend a funeral celebrant they have worked with and trust. I will then contact you to arrange to meet with you.

Or if you prefer you may contact me directly to discuss your plans for a service or ceremony.

I will meet you at your home or at your chosen Funeral Director’s office at a time that is convenient to you, where I will guide you through the steps to create a fitting tribute.

You will be encouraged to recall and share the most important aspects of a life well lived; the person, their values, qualities and accomplishments.

I will give you the space and time you need to talk about the person who has died, their life and how you want to say farewell and remember them, while I listen. I can also provide examples of readings, poems, music or research those for you to illustrate the life story you are wishing to tell.

Then I will go away and create the ceremony you would like delivered, all the time keeping in touch with you.

I will work with you to write an appropriate tribute which will be genuine, authentic and sincere. I don’t believe in using standard scripts or templates.

On the day of the funeral, at the memorial, or during a celebration of life event, I will deliver a beautiful bespoke tribute. I will ensure everything runs smoothly and all your wishes are carried out.

Whether it is held at a crematorium, a woodland burial, a memorial or at the wake, I will speak for you.

If you want to remember on a beach, in a local pub, in a favourite place or at home, I will hold a ceremony.

As a funeral celebrant I am compassionate and dedicated to understanding the person who has died, creating a ceremony that reflects their life. There is no better farewell.

I will also draw out happy memories, share stories friends may not know, an anecdote they have never heard or a song that your loved one cherished.

These all help create a picture of the person you have lost and a lasting memory as you say goodbye.
